One thing I didn't get to was the mini-reunion we had at Downtown Disney last weekend.
From left to right: Arlene, Roggy, Wendy, me and Don in front.
I haven't seen these people in thirty years!
I've been hanging out with my high school friends online, mostly lurking on the whoa.org site. There is also a typepad site that features pictures and stories to help us reconnect.
I've been emailing with Don for a few years now. He's always good about emailing me a greeting on special days and dropping me an email to keep in touch. He and I played in the band together at school. He was a year behind me, but in all the high level classes because he was so smart.
Wendy and I were friends in high school and ran in the same crowds. We got into trouble together that I probably won't get into here. ;-) It was neat seeing people I actually knew in school. Wendy even came over the next day with her yearbooks and photo album. We haven't changed a bit since high school. Not a bit.
I didn't know Roggy because she was in the class behind me and not in the band or any of my classes. I wish I knew her better because she seems like someone I'd like to know now. And Arlene was 7 years ahead of us so we didn't know her in high school at all. Even though, we all spoke of the same experiences and had a common bond regardless of the years.
There's a reunion in Phoenix (!!!) next year and I'm thinking about going. I haven't been to a reunion since 1987. Isn't that wild? Maybe my sister can make it and we can have a girlie weekend without the kids or something.
Well, I'm off to have dinner with all three of my sons tonight. Still having a great time. Two more days left in Arizona. :-)
Hey, how about posting this mini-reunion on the Wagner 75-80 site? Can I? can I?
