How did Christmas manage to sneak up on me again this year? Last I looked it was December 10th and I had plenty of time to get things done. Now it's the 22nd (had to look that up!) and time is almost up. I suck at Christmas.
Today is the first Monday of my Christmas break, when DH goes to work and leaves me to my own devices. Oh, the sweet joy of knowing I don't have to be back at work for 2 weeks. So many things need to get done. Clean house, finish Christmas shopping, prepare meals, hang out with my boy... so much to do.
This morning we went up to the city in 3 degree weather to visit with the allergy doctor. She still isn't impressed with the results of his breathing tests. But he's not symptomatic and he's doing fine otherwise. We're finally back on a maintenance schedule with his meds.
And yes, I did make an appointment for myself for this afternoon. I'm still stuffy and feeling like a truck hit me. So maybe I'll get some better antibiotics and be on the mend by Christmas. It's almost been a month since I started feeling sick. I'm ready to be well again.
My mom sent me pictures of my brother's grandson. What a cute little kid- he has my nephew's eyes, big and brown. My parents got a chance to visit with him when my nephew and family came up for a Christmas trip.
My grandmother's sister, my Aunt Bessie, passed away this week. It feels like the family tree is getting pruned. Aunt Bessie was an interesting person. I never did figure her out, but my dad's side of the family is like that. Odd ducks.
So the plan for the rest of the day is to clean the house and make some chili for supper and go to the doctor and load up on meds so I can start feeling more human again. I've been sleeping sitting up on the living room sofa for 3 weeks. I want to lay down in my own bed again. Maybe soon...
And I'll try to keep the blog going since I have just oodles of time now. Right.

good to hear from you again. you shouldn't leave for so long. hope you and m are feeling great for the holidays. can you post a pic of the grandnephew? mom said she was going to send it to me but i haven't seen it yet. well i still have one more day of work until my vacation starts so i gotta go get this day over with.
