Doing the dance of joy here. I got the laptop loaded with Windows Live Writer and a bunch of my favorite programs (warcraft) and am getting all settled and comfy.
It has been nearly three years since I last bought a laptop. I went back through the blog and found this entry from March 16, 2006. So, it's been longer than a year. I've probably been blogging about wanting a new computer for about a year.
I had talked a l ot of my derision of Windows Vista and my desire to get a mac laptop. But my thriftiness and lack of delayed gratification meant that I wanted a cheaper computer and I wanted it right now. So I went to the computer stores and wandered around looking until I found this one. Then I waited until they fixed it up for me- they added 2gb of RAM (for a total of 4gb) and upgraded the hard drive to a 320gb drive and cleared all the junk pop up stuff off for me so I'd have a clean interface.
The doctor's office called back yesterday and I have an appt next week with an ENT doctor. The biggest question I'll have is how long I can delay having surgery. :) I really, really dread the idea of having someone poke around my nasal passages with a sharp object. If I can delay it until spring break, that would be awesome. Summer vacation, even better.
We took the Christmas tree down this morning, but the boxes I bought are too small. Gotta find some bigger boxes. /cry
Hubby was supposed to go hunting today but his hunting partner got sick. :( So I'm stuck with him I get to be with him another day. Guess I'll go see what kind of mischief we can get into.
